Who will be the next Nigerian saviour?
How Nigerians anoint opportunists and create saviours from every incident.

Nigerians are notorious for awarding or gifting incapable people with leadership positions: and yes, it did not start today.
The military era came with so much tribulation and suffering which resulted in the death of many both great and small alike.
But the more people died, the more furiously they rose ferociously against their oppressors.
The eighties were characterised with the imprisonment of journalists and activists: the death of Dele Giwa, a former Newswatch magazine Journalist who was killed by a letter bomb is forever sealed in the hearts of many Nigerians
Then came 1993; a very remarkable and unforgettable year in Nigeria, the year the then military administration held on to power and refused to accept the 1993 election results which declared M.K.O Abiola the winner.
Not only did they seize M.K.O Abiola's mandate, but they also went ahead to arrest him.
As expected, his arrest was not taken lightly by many, people from all over the world condemned this insolent act.
But there was one group whose voice was the loudest and that group was
'NADECO': an acronym for '
National Democratic Coalition'.
More than twenty-five years, history has repeated itself so many times only that this time around there are no military dictators in sight, just a bunch of so-called democratic leaders, who continually threaten innocent Nigerians who have dared to raise their voices against impunity.
People are killed mercilessly, young men accused and incarcerated for no serious reason at all
But our 'Saviours' The same men/ women who stood up fiercely and fearlessly against the wickedness of the then military administration, the comrades, journalists and all who led protests against the oppressive system are nowhere to be found, they have all of a sudden gone mute.
The same saviours who claimed to be democrats and made names for themselves through similar incidents have all gone mute
You can't blame them, they have their mouths stuffed with taxpayers money, it's the only reason they are unable to talk.
You may be wondering who these saviours are, search google for June 12 activists and see for yourself.
As expected, the younger generation has picked a cue from thisand as I speak to you, there are fresh sets of saviours,
"desperately yearning to save Nigerians from their predicaments"
From the busybodies that led the
'Occupy Lagos' protest to the charlatans who sold Buhari to us, as usual, Nigerians are falling for their tricks
2012- 2015 was the year many charlatans and nonentities rose to fame, they started with condemning everything the then administration stood for, their popularity grew as a result of this, some of them got into politics and were elected leaders, these 'astute and honest' journalists, activists, political propagandists, truth-tellers and reformed politicians turn governors, personal assistants, ministers, commissioners etc have turned on the people who voted them into office.
Things have gone from good to worse yet, they don't see anything bad about it.
I see a similar pattern in the ENDSARS movement, there are no doubts that there are genuine people involved but it's only going to take a short time before you see the heads of vipers and usurpers who will come out to make it about themselves.
Nigerians youths are already crowning them kings and queens, expecting and hoping to vote them into office if they ever run for a political position which I'm sure they will.
How can you trust someone who has no history or experience in running anything efficiently, someone you barely know anything about, just because he/she is an activist?
Where are our past Nigerian activists and comrades?
We just never learn.
Being an activist or journalist does not make you one with leadership skills, having an NGO and charity organisation does not mean you are a leader. We all need to put an end to this madness.
Service to humanity should be done with good motives, not with hidden agendas. We all need to put our hands on deck and start identifying this opportunist before they wreck us all.
